Inspiración del Flamenco
From the cuevas of Granada to the ferias of Seville, from the bodegas of Jerez to the chiringuitos of Malaga the undeniable force of the proud women of flamenco stamp and swirl, their costumes ruffle and whirl. The plaintive songs of the Gitano people, their struggles and sufferings inspired my most recent collection of work. The aleteo, the flutter of the frills of her frock, the duende, the inner force that drives flamenco and the arranque, a spontaneous outburst of emotion from the performers propels the flow and movement of the stone.
